A less disappointing sunset

On the way to my dads to see him during my weekend i quickly got off the train and tried to find a good location to get some shots of what i was seeing. I climbed a tree and everything though that turned out fairly bad. I'm mostly happy with these though i'd prefer better locations :P

The worst sunset ever

Jack and I went down to Sandringham to try and get some interesting beach shots. Our ultimate goal was to get some amazing sunsets but with the way the clouds were we didn't have much luck. Instead i found what i enjoyed about the beach and our surroundings.

Holding on for your life

Today jack and I traveled up to Sherbrooke to see if we could get any cool shots in the forest. While waiting for our bus we spent about 45 minutes just wandering around Belgrave capturing people and challenging ourselves to see if we could capture the emotion within the individual. I certainly gave it my best but i'd certainly like to have more practice. I will be asking a friend in the near future if i could use them as practice.

Dye drops

Jack and i were playing around with a few dyes trying to capture a water drop hitting a pan of water.

In the end i decided i liked the effect of the dye moving through the water better than the drop itself.

Cardinia Reservoir

I hate to completely contrast my photo's i'd taken the day before of a beautiful colourful sunset but the weather gave me clouds and rain so i suppose did my best to portray that in the photos i took. There was no harsh light or glare so i was able to use that to my advantage.
I hope i've captured the emotion in these photo's that I was searching for yet still manage to find some vibrant colour and contrast.

Just out in Gembrook, Kash and I took some photos of the beautiful sunset over the vast open farmlands that stretched into the forest. I wanted to capture something gentle yet rustic about the land as well as its beautiful vibrant colours. 

Animals and Botanic gardens

A day spent in Melbourne.

We went to the Zoo as early as possible to try and avoid the mass of people though it was busy regardless. My intention of these photos was to do my best to capture the animals in a very natural setting and see if i could almost avoid the obvious fact they were in captivity. A few of the animals seemed quite fine with the fact though other such as the tigers were quite stressed and would pace back and fourth to keep themselves sane. The pictures of the elephants were taken from a vantage point that wasn't available to the public. Jack and i ventured off course and went through a gate and found ourselves lost but it definitely gave us a much better view of the animals.

Later we went to the botanical gardens and did our best to capture the sunset from there. Though we had limited view because of the trees we still found ourselves enjoying the lighting and definitely made the best of the situation we had.
